How did you get into fitness?
My wife starting taking Pilates and after hearing her talk about her classes, I decided to give it a try. After my first class, I was hooked! I’m in the middle of my Pilates equipment training and have really been enjoying teaching.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
My favorite part of teaching is showing clients something that they’ve never done before and watching them work to achieve their goals.
What makes you and/or your work unique?
Unlike most other instructors, I didn’t get into fitness when I was young or through a sport or an activity. I got into fitness as an adult and I have really grown to love how it makes me feel. Because of that, I’m able to relate to clients that are new to to barre, Pilates mat, or exercise in general. I also like to really challenge my classes and push them to a place they never knew they could reach.
What is your favorite other type of exercise?
I enjoy riding bikes with my wife, indoor rock climbing, and taking Aerial Yoga classes.
What is your favorite indulgence?
My favorite indulgence is taking trips to New York City and seeing Broadway shows. Food wise, hot chocolate and chocolate milk are my favorite!
